CLLAW Fashion Brings Out the Naughty and Nice.

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

I am going to assume that no boys or girls read my blog. For if they did read it this week, they might be shocked or confused by this week’s post. Why, you ask? Well, CLLAW’s fashion statements are bold and insane, and it’s all part of the fun.

For background, as you may or may not know, Sideshow hosts the Chicago League of Lady Arm Wrestlers, and our next match is Friday, September 24th at 10pm at the Mystic Celt. This event is nuts. There’s 16 lady arm wrestlers volunteering their arm strength and sass to help raise money for both Sideshow and our partner charity, Season of Concern. CLLAWBUX, the official currency of CLLAW matches, fly around as people bet on their favorite wrestlers in between matches, and the THREE HOUR open bar for $25 makes sure the booze is a-flowing. I have wrestled in five of the six CLLAW matches thus far, and love every second of it!

What I love most about CLLAW is the fashion. CLLAW is all about lady power, and it’s game on in the clothing department. At any given CLLAW, you will see six inch platform heels, fishnet stockings, fishnet gloves, tutus, wigs, daisy dukes, stilletos, knee high boots, tight like whoa leotards, push up bras galore, and more glitter make up then a tween’s sleepover party. Here’s just some of the fashion at CLLAW…

You will also see corsets, capes, armor, bee costumes, animal print leggings, tattoos, tiny top hats, itty bitty boy shorts (on men, no doubt), and the greatest display of body hair known to man.

People, we haven’t even gotten to the hair yet. Mohawks, mustaches, mullets, bonnets, feathers, habits, and yes, the occasional cow ensemble with ears and all.

Suspect for mad cow disease? I think so.

Every once in awhile, and you have to pay attention or you might miss it, a pair of panties will go flying.

While yes, there was a brief mention of men in this blog post, CLLAW is all about the ladies looking hot. Where else in the world can you watch a bunch of ladies arm wrestle while wearing the craziest, bizarre, bright and beautiful clothing combinations known to man? Fishnets and a cape? Yes please, sign me up! Pink panties on my head? That sounds delightful. CLLAW creates this magical environment where women can be expressly feminine and kicking oh-so-much ass at the same time. I think you have to see it to believe it.

So join us, Saturday,  September 24th at 10pm for CLLAW VII, and see these fierce creatures for yourself. Oh…what will I be wearing? Yeah, that’s a surprise.
