Dearest Readers,
Holy smokes. Heddatron rehearsals have begun at the Hancock Tower. And shit is going crazy.
I don’t have any robots to report back on yet, as they won’t be ready for rehearsals until beginning of January. But do not fear. I will get you well aquainted with said robots when the timing is right.
Sideshow’s Company Stage Manager Navid is in the Heddatron trenches and reporting back with lovely goodies, such as these behind-the-scenes photos:
Dramaturg Jeff Gardner pontificates on robots, singularity, and Hedda Gabbler. Oh my.
First rehearsal design presentations with the always sassy Costume Designer, David Hyman.
Sideshow Artistic Associate Karie Miller leads the cast in some body exercises. It’s blurry, but trust me, Matt Fletcher is having the fucking time of his life.
I’m not really sure what’s going on here.
Looks like the first week at Heddatron includes a bit of book reading, table work, and body lifting. I think we might be off to a good start.
You know all the details about Heddatron yet? Why, it’s part of the Steppenwolf GARAGE REP with two other LOVELY companies, Urban Theater Company and Strange Tree Group. These folks are cool, for serious. Oh and Steppenwolf is too. Win win, buddy. The show will run in rep from February 11 – April 24, 2011. Check out the details here, and stay tuned for when tickets go on sale. You don’t want to miss out on the robot revolution, right?
And I’m off!
Ms. Megan
That’s a horrible, horrible picture of me.
Also, you didn’t get a picture of the whiteboard. What a shame
