Behind the Scenes: Filming for Heddatron

January 11th, 2011

Hello my sexy readers,

Clearly I’m in a mood today. I find you all very, very attractive.

So guess what? Tickets are on sale NOW for Heddatron by Elizabeth Meriwether. In fact, tickets for all three GARAGE REP shows are on sale, including The Three Faces of Doctor Crippen presented by the Strange Tree Group, and Sonnets for an Old Century presented by Urban Theater Company. Folks, I’m positive all three shows are going to rock your socks off. Might as well buy the GARAGE REP pass for $45 and see em all.

Alright, enough of my sales pitch. Want to see something cool? Well, here you go. So at Sideshow, Heddatron involved a ton of visual and multi-media elements. Luckily, we have an amazing production team helping us pull this off. Including voice recording and filming! NEATO!

Over the last week, Sideshow jumped into the studios to record the robot voices. They need voices, right? They’ve had a devil of a time learning their lines until now.

Artistic Associate Karie Miller lends the robots her angelic voice.

We also filmed in a studio and on location this weekend! Like big time film professionals! Look how fancy!

Heddatron actor Nate Whelden gets some pointy direction from Video Designer Mike Fernandez.

For extra excitement,  veteran actor Alain St Borges came out of retirement to film with us! It was epic. He hasn’t been on stage since 1989!

There are so many wonderful elements going into Heddatron, and the Sideshow team is working our butts off before we move into the space – which is only in a few weeks, folks! A FEW WEEKS!

More updates soon!

Ms. Megan
