The Robot Club Needs YOU!

Well, friends, it’s the day you’ve all been waiting for.  You just didn’t know it.

Yes, beloved Blerg readers, you’re invited to join The Robot Club!

Okay, okay, the name “robot club” might make you think of guys like this:

And you might think, “but, Sideshow, you endless font of coolness, street smarts, and awesomeness, why are you trying to make me into that guy?”

Our answer is, no, no, we’d never do that to you!  Our Robot Club is far, far better.  First of all, you’ve been keeping track of the Chi-Bots team’s work on Heddatron, haven’t you?  (If not, check it out!) The Robot Club, which we are sure you’ll join right this second, brings these little guys to life.  Not in a scary way:

The Robot Club funds these sweet little robot dudes and dudettes who will be rolling around the GARAGE REP stage starting February 11.

And YOU get to help build!  And get fun, limited-edition Heddatron prizes!

How does it work?

We’re using Kickstarter.com, a fantastic website that allows organizations to offer rewards for backers of exciting projects.

To clarify, they do not fund Sideshow’s annual campaign, The Center Ring, to which many of you fine folks have already contributed.  Our Kickstarter project is solely to build our amazing Heddatron robot actors!

1. You create an account through Kickstarter (it’s easy! They guide you through!) and choose your level of funding.  ANY amount will help!  We have options for different levels of giving, but you can give any amount you darn well please, and it all goes to build robots.

2. You make your pledge.  ALL Kickstarter payments are processed through Amazon.com.  New to Amazon?  Creating a new account is easy too (and then your future holiday shopping will be forever changed).

3. If the project succeeds (if we meet or exceed our $5,000 goal) your credit card will be charged. Kickstarter funding is all-or-nothing funding. (*Amazon.com is the only payment method Kickstarter accepts, because it is the only payment method that allows all-or-nothing funding.)  If the project doesn’t succeed, your credit card won’t be charged.

4.  You get fun prizes!  What have we got?  We got your official Heddatron Robot Club certificate of membership.  You will probably frame this and hang it up in place of your diploma.  We got your limited edition Heddatron “LOVEBORG” pins.  We got the opportunity to meet and hang out with the very robots who appear in Heddatron!  All this and more can be yours!
