Lisi Stoessel is a figurative artist and scenic designer. She has studied painting, drawing, sculpture, and print making at the Maryland Institute, College of Art and at the University of Virginia's McIntire Department of Art. While in undergraduate school she became intrigued by puppetry and other forms of theatre. Seeking a more highly collaborative artistic experience, she began exploring design for the stage. In 2008 she received her MFA in Scene Design from the University of Virginia. Lisi is currently based in Philadelphia, designing locally and abroad. She has had the pleasure of working with many talented artists, including Pig Iron Theatre Company, The Berzerker Residents, Johnny Showcase, Sideshow Theatre Company, and the Idiopathic Ridiculopathy Consortium.
